Piece of shit flat out lied about a black Congresswoman’s speech to denigrate her in defense of the piece of shit Donald Trump.
And the WH Press Secretary suggests the press has no right to call him on his dishonesty.
When Trump starts rolling over our free press, will Kelly bring the military to back Trump’s whims?
He sure has very little character.

I don't think he lied. I do think he failed to check things before he came in front of the cameras on this. The Congresswoman was not in the car because she is a politician. She was in the car because she was a long-time family friend, who had a long involvement with the mother and the dead son. Kelly seemed ignorant of all that. He later remarks about the FBI building in Florida was simple political spin on his part and he was so clumsy with the spin that it was easily spun back at him.
Kelly IS a Marine General. You don't get stars in the USofA military services without political skills. But consistent with all the other people Trump works with, Kelly is no revealed to be another second-rater.

You need to watch her speech, which was just played on All In With Chris Hayes, MSNBC - Kelly absolutely DID lie! He alleged she was disrespectful to the FBI agents for whom the building was named and that all she spoke about was how she secure the funding. In fact, she effusively praises the agents, getting their names right (Kelly did not) praises the FBI and asks all the LEOs in the audience to stand and be acknowledged - she in NO WAY made it ‘all about her’ - Kelly’s a fucking liar. There was no reason to tell that lie except to try to denigrate her to rehabilitate his boss. I don’t care if he’s got 4 stars, doesn't mean he can’t be a liar - and he is. I suppose it was too much to hope for that anyone working for Trump could resist falling into dishonesty and dishonor.

That's kind of my take on this one...
Kelly was wrong when he said specifically that Wilson had referenced the funding for the building, but the video I've seen of her remarks clearly show her using the event as an occasion to brag and toot her own horn, (about getting the building opened quickly, not the funding)
I think he recalled the general fact that she had used the dedication to promote herself, but had incorrectly remembered the the details as to what she had specifically said to do that...
That having been said, he still has an obligation to come forward and admit to having gotten this specific accusation wrong...
And of course none of this changes the fact that he works for a man who
grotesquely misuses public events over and over again as a platform to make them about himself as a standard feature of his behavior (Bragging about his "historic" election victory in front of The Wall Of The Fallen at the CIA headquarters, whining about his supposed mis-treatment by the press at the Coast Guard graduation, etc, etc) which makes Kelly even raising the point of
someone else doing it somewhat unseemly, (and of course quite ironic...)
So while I don't believe he deliberately lied in this case, I agree with the general idea that (as has been the case with so many others) close association with Trump is tarnishing his reputation...
And the longer he stays, the worse this is likely to get...

Omg what fucking bullshit! Did you watch the WHOLE speech? She doesn’t brag, she praises the Republicans in control of Congress for getting the NAMING OF THE BUILDING bill through in time for the opening ceremony, which was on the FBI’s calendar and would not be delayed. Her efforts to make that happen in time for the ceremony is something Comey also praises her for spearheading - i.e., starting the process. That takes up 2 minutes of a lengthy speech that is all about praising the FBI agents for whom the building was named and lauding and honoring the FBI in general!
You clearly didn’t even listen carefully to whatever clip you did watch, or you’re nucking futz - and Gen. John Kelly is a puke and a liar.

Kelly is butt-hurt because HE told Trump what to say (though he counseled Trump NOT to call - wonder why?) and Trump managed to sound like an arrogant compassionless asshole, turning Kelly’s words into flippancy and making the military look bad.
And because everyone in the Trump absurdistation is constitutionally incapable of uttering an apology, instead he’s falsely attacking the Congresswoman who was present for the call, and like the widow, felt that Trump’s manner was callous and unbecoming of a Commander-in-Chief.
Kelly even called it ‘unacceptable’ that the Congresswoman - a close personal friend of the family and mentor of the fallen soldier - was with the widow when IQ45 called. But apparently it’s ok that HE was with IQ45 when the call was made!
Asshole. Liar. Puke. Fits in very well with his coworkers.

The solution would be to have all black soldiers removed form combat positions. Station them in a safe CONUS base. My god, they could get killed!
I am inclined to believe a Marine Corps general over a sleazy race baiting politician. Hell, we baby burners and war criminals have to stick together.

Even after I had sorted out the grammar and inserted a bit of punctuation, I still have trouble understanding libturd's post. I didn't know that goatee possession symbolized racism. I suppose I'll have to cross Lenin off my list of heroes along with The Lorax and Colonel Sanders. (OK, I'll give you Col Sanders - the white suit is a bit of a giveaway.). Red hat = race baiter is also a new one on me so I guess I will have to get rid of my Linux and also my MAGA hat [satire]personally inscribed by Dampnut himself[/satire].
Most liberals I know have criticized Obama at one point or another so obviously we are all racists at heart (that is assuming that we have one between us). The national debt increased 186% under Reagan ($998 billion to $2800 billion) and about 68% in Obama's first seven years ($10 trillion to $17 trillion - don't have more exact figures) so if that's your measure of greatness I suppose Reagan wins. And it's funny how in one sentence you manage to castigate Obama for wasted research spending and applaud Reagan for the same thing which will save the world.
And I am really anxious to know how you know that it was a liberal who forced you off the road for wearing your uniform? Did he have a COEXIST sticker on the back of his Prius? I've warned the guys about this so I am disheartened to hear that they have been ignoring my advice. So once again: if you are going to run libturd off the road, do it in the Buick with the Romney/Ryan sticker. I really shouldn't have to keep repeating this.

A. He knew the guy who ran him off the road was a liberal...(did he pull over and start up a political discussion with him after he ran him off the road?)
and...
B. How whoever ran him off the road got a good enough look at him before he ran him off the road to be able to tell that a guy seated behind the wheel of a moving vehicle was wearing a uniform....
