Whereas I kind of like Rowe as a TV personality, his political views are still a bit more conservative than I'd like from Rowe, the candidate. However, over the last few years he has mellowed quite a bit and, if he took on a run for public office more seriously, I think he'd likely become more moderate and probably do quite well. He's very aware of public perception and opinion, ergo, a clever marketer of himself.

Just what we need, another TV "personality" in Washington.

If we were talking about somehow waving a magic wand and replacing Trump with Mike Rowe, I'd be all for it...

But then I'd be in favor of replacing Trump with Flo from the Progressive commercials, (hey, if we're going to have a fictional television character as President, better one that isn't a toxic, autocratic Russian stooge...Flo seems pretty sensible and level-headed...) so it's not a real high bar for me...

The institutions of higher learning have become vocational training schools by the general and specific cultures of America. The one thing 'everybody knows' about a college degree is that people who have one get paid more. Go to college and make more money. 'Education" is a secondary or even less reason for going to college.
