That's news to me.

The pertinent reality is the US is on track to becoming the world's largest oil exporter which has nothing to do with Clinton or Obama. Given the cheating on quotas in the past within OPEC it will be samo, samo in the future. More oil and gas mean lower prices. Major suck enroute to Russia and the Middle Eastern countries.

Yeezus Crist wes. That was a fait accompli long before Merkel. Do even the slightest research , will you? Germany has been dependent on Russian natural gas for a long time. If anything, Merkel has reduced that dependence by rapidly developing wind and photovoltaic although the Fukushima disaster has complicated the picture because of the desire to get rid of Nuclear. (probably derailed for a long time).

there are alternatives, including American LP and Nordic power sources.
