In my state we have a choice between evil and stupid not a great choice but an easy one.

In California I will be voting AGAINST "Gruesome" Newsom for governor.

This dem charlatan is phony as a $3 bill.

Will cast my vote for Cox the GOP candidate for the governor slot.

A real long shot.

This may surprise you wes, but at the moment there are no Democrats I am planning to vote for...

I'll be voting for a few Republicans and not voting in a number of races...(The way it is set up now with this nutty open jungle primary system we only get two choices on the general election ballot and write-in votes aren't counted.)

I'm voting for some Republicans down ballot in state-wide elections, but I cannot vote for John Cox the GOP nominee for Governor, because he's a DeSantis-type hardcore Trumper. However I detest Gavin Newsom, so I also will not vote him, so given that a third candidate write-in is impossible, I'll be taking a pass on that one...

(BTW wes, just because someone is supported by Trump would not be an automatic dis-qualifier for me. It's a question of whether they are Trump suck-ups or not. For example, If I lived in Arizona I would happily vote for Martha McSally. On the other hand, if I lived in Devin Nunes district, I'd not only be voting for the Democrat, I'd be doing volunteer work for him. I've already sent Nunes' opponent, Andrew Janz, a modest financial contribution.)

I'll also not be casting a vote in my Congressional district race...

We're back in Nancy Pelosi's district again, (we keep being batted back and forth between her and Jackie Speier; where we live is so close to the dividing line between the two districts that our zip code is split between them.)

As I said, (though you keep falsely insisting that I'm supporting Pelosi) I do not support her for Speaker, (neither do 63 Democratic Congressional candidates) and I will not vote for her to be my representative.

Her opponent, is a Republican named Lisa Remmer (she has less than zero chance of winning; In the primary she finished second to Pelosi with 9% of the vote to Pelosi's 65%) and she is the type of Republican who in normal times I would probably vote for. She isn't a Radical Randian or a hardcore Trumper; she's a pretty mainstream candidate...

However, since I am supporting a Democratic takeover of the House in this cycle, I thought it would be hypocritical for me to personally vote for a Republican for Congress, so as I said I will be taking a pass on that race...

In the California Senate race, again because of the open primary system, there is no GOP candidate....

The choice is between Diane Feinstein and a far more left-wing Democrat named Kevin de León...

Given that choice, I had fully intended to vote for Feinstein, but I got really ticked off by the dishonest way she handled the whole Kavanaugh-Ford thing.

If the race was close, I would probably hold my nose and vote for DiFi, but she's go a big lead and really doesn't need my vote, so I'll probably take a pass on that race as well...

Also, we have a number of state and local propositions on the ballot, and I will be voting what would probably be considered the Republican or conservative position on a number of them. (Like voting to repeal the most recent round of gas tax increases.)

All-in-all, not exactly the profile of the Nancy Pelosi/ Maxine Waters/ antifa supporter that you have dishonestly attempted to portray me as being...

I’m still mulling, but I might be casting my vote for anti-Trumper GOP Governor Charlie Baker - he seems to be largely effective and enjoys bipartisan support to some degree. I have to admit to having been woefully derelict in following state politics since I moved back, so I need to do some homework before November 6.

I’ll be voting Democrat in all other races.

BSG--any predictions on question 3? The trans-sex bathroom stuff got a little national traction when POTUS minions announced they were abandoning fed regs on this . But I have not heard much about Massachusetts. For question 1, that looks like common sense but hard for me to think work rules like this should be a matter of state law. Question two looks to me like meaningless posturing.

Question 1 sounds good in theory but financially devastating from the prediction of the state budget office; I thought I was for it and I AM for reform of some kind to ensure nurses aren’t forced to do mandatory overtime etc. - but I don’t feel confident in this legislation so I’m voting no.

I have no problem with Question 2 in theory, but I'm not sure what can actually come of it and therefore whether it’s a good use of funds - going to vote no.

Question 3 worries me because of the Yes/No designations; if folks don’t read the voter guide or the ballot carefully they might end up abolishing the protections they mean to support. I will vote to keep them in place. I’m not sure how it’s polling; I’ll do some research and get back to you.

Baker is up by 29 points according to 538; that being the case I’ll vote for the Democrat.

eta: It appears both 2 & 3 are overwhelmingly supported by Baystaters, while 1 is in a dead heat.

If the republicans had chosen to run a moderate for Senate I would have been inclined to vote against Menendez (and I didn't like him before his indictment and trial), but given the other choice, Hugin, another Trump trying to pose as a moderate, that is pretty much impossible. And as the race is getting close, I will hold my nose and vote for Menendez. The campaign has been pretty horrendous from both sides, with most ads just attacking the opponent (although Hugin ads have out and out lied about Menendez more times than the reverse). Not one damn word why I should vote for either, just why I shouldn't vote for the other. if it weren't so important, I would refrain from a vote in this S3nate contest.

I may vote republican in a few local races from what I have read on candidate positions.

The only opposed Republicans I would vote for is one that has publicly condemned Trump.

Since none of them have done so, they won't get my vote.

I may not even vote for the unopposed ones.

This is stark contrast to any prior election, where I generally had a mixed ballot.

I will still vote fairly conservatively on initiatives, due to the fact that neither side is telling the whole truth. Several initiatives look good on paper but a deeper look shows they cost too much and do nothing of substance.

And I actually have occasionally voted for Republicans at the state level. (I even once voted for the Green Party candidate for governor—in 2006, when Rod Blagojevich was running for re-election...)
