'It's very sad': Trump reacts to Patriots owner Robert Kraft's soliciting prostitution charges

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said he was surprised by the news that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, a longtime supporter and friend, was charged with soliciting prostitution on Friday.

While speaking from the Oval Office, Trump called the episode "very sad" and said Kraft has "proclaimed his innocence" against charges that he solicited a prostitute in Florida.

"It's very sad. I was very surprised to see it," the president said. "He's proclaimed his innocence, totally, but I am very surprised to see it."

Kraft, 77, was one of 25 people charged Friday in a wide-ranging investigation into human-trafficking across multiple Florida counties. He has denied the charges.

"We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity," a spokesman for Kraft said in a statement. "Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further."

Jupiter police chief Daniel Kerr said in a news conference that police have video evidence of Kraft engaging in sex acts on two separate visits to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa last month.[77 year old guy having sex...Yeah, that's one video I can definitely give a miss... :? ]

Victims of alleged human-trafficking ring that ensnared Robert Kraft were forced to live in massage parlors and perform sex acts, according to police

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft's prostitution charges on Friday were part of a bust for what police said was a large-scale human-trafficking and prostitution ring in Florida.

Within the ring, women were trafficked and coerced into working as prostitutes in 10 different spas and massage parlors, according to the Vero Beach Police Department.

The victims were forced to live in the spas for days, sometimes months, "for the purpose of sexual servitude," according to the charges. Many of them came from China on temporary work visas, believing they'd get legitimate jobs in the US, Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey said in a press conference.

"These girls are there all day long, into the evening. They can't leave and they're performing sex acts," he said. "Some of them may tell us they're OK, but they're not."

He added, “Even though we may have charges on some of them, we’d rather them be victims.”

The police did not identify the number of women considered to be victims in the trafficking ring. Authorities charged at least 173 people with crimes, including human trafficking and soliciting prostitution. Six people are charged with running the ring.

I guess it's not surprising given his long and shameful track record in these situations, that our Putzident would take the opportunity of a story like this to express his sympathy for the poor beleaguered old rich guy, (and of course point out his denial, even though he was apparently caught on video tape)...

That's just how the orange pig rolls...

But surely, given all his histrionic bloviating about the scourge of hordes of women being brought to this country to be forced into sex (many with duct tape over their mouths :o ) he must also have expressed sympathy for these Asian sex slaves, outrage about their plight, and a determination that those responsible be prosecuted to the full extent of the law...

And he must also have extended his hearty congratulations to the law enforcement officials who brought the net down on this...*

I was going to make some sort of sardonic comment about how a wall along the southern border would stop all this.

I changed my mind halfway through posting. This isn't something I can joke about even in making a serious point. There are some people who are seriously evil; and I have no doubt that if Kraft is prosecuted he will get some sort of fine (a few thousand max????) which will impact him about the same as me losing a couple of pennies down the side of the sofa. According to Forbes he is currently worth $6.6 billion.

I heard Trump wants to declare an emergency and build a wall across the entire Pacific and Atlantic oceans to stop this trafficking and the influx of drugs.

The lightest comment I can make about this situation is that Trump DID say he was going to create jobs.
He didn't say what KIND of jobs.....
