Polling question

Has there been any research into the general size of the groups that identify independent or republican and how that has changed during the trump presidency?
Or more to the point are the republican support numbers skewed due to a large amount of people no longer calling themselves republican due to trump?

Wesw, you need to take a good course in statistics and polling methods. A carefully selected pool of 1900 people (meaning carefully selected to be a Representative pool, that is, selected by established techniques that are proven to produce representative results) will be just as accurate as a survey of millions. Those sampling methods are well known, and well established. Of course the same techniques can be used just as efficiently to select a sample that will give pre-determined results. That is why the ethics of the polling group is so important. I trust the reliability of a poll by the Gallup organization far more that a survey by either the National Democrat party or by the NRA.

Trump owns a shrinking Republican party
