Nancy Sitting Behind Trump at SOTU Address

This is what I imagined while watching it....

I was in another room while my mother was watching it, and heard her laughing fit to bust a gut every time Nancy reacted to something in the speech.

Her tearing up her copy of the speech while he was still talking was boss. Her reasoning - its was the polite thing to do.

He, of course, refused to shake her hand.

Personally, I thought they were both silly gestures and I wasn't impressed; more like kids on the playground than anything else. Nothing particularly wrong with either, but nothing particularly right either.

as for the speech, I didn't watch it (I haven't watched the SOTU since Clinton--I just can't stand the pep rally format of that speech with the legislators acting like a studio audience at a game show; but I did read the text (and saw the highlights on the news) and it was well below the standard of even Trump. I don't know if the low point was him giving Rush the Medal of Freedom, or when he pandered to black voters and announced to the one woman that her daughter got a scholarship to go to the school of her choice, but there were other points almost as bad.
