Be not so hasty, Grasshoppers, as the answer in law is rarely so clear, and is most often either "maybe" or "it depends."
I know it's the Daily News but this guy is not wrong, and it's a lot easier reading than some law review articles and scholarly analyses I could link. (He's talking about a potential Trump self-pardon, but the underlying principle of "admission of guilt" is the same, regardless.)

Let's put it another way then, the pardon put a halt to any attempt to dismiss the charges against Flynn, thus he was not and never will be exonerated.

That is certainly true, plus he had already pleaded guilty to the charges, the plea had been accepted and all that remained was sentencing. So arguably he has been spared the sentence but not the conviction.
