Sure; that's gonna happen; they'll all wear tons of musk too. Unless you mean that the survivors will be dyslexic, as Elon as Noel backwards?
If you think the pandemic was scary just wait until the next mass extinction. While silly mankind parades their egotistic ideas of climate change, Mother Nature doesn't give a shit.

In the end, unless Musk's Mars effort succeeds, we'll end up like the dinosaurs,

Please explain to me how climate change is "egoistic", while other reactions of nature (often influenced by human behavior) are not. And how our best bet is to just leave instead of trying to remedy the problem here. If your house is dirty you can either clean it or move; are you seriosuly saying you would move?

Gee, elon musk; there's a man we should all emulate; remember when he accused the guy in Thailand of raping the young boys when taking them into the cave (all because they didn't want to use his submarine as part of the rescue? He's someone whose opinion I value.
For everyone that worships sky daddies it's not unreasonable to think that the one god worshiped by humankind's survivors on Mars hundreds of years in the future will be called Elon.
Reminds me of an old joke I heard quite some time ago.
  • A team of scientists had finally figured out how to create life from inanimate material; in effect, taking a handful of dust and creating Man.  So, somehow, they had gotten an audience with God.  Meeting with him, they suggested that he was no longer relevant or all-powerful, and that it was time he stepped down.

God listened to them patiently and then asked, "And upon what do you base this request?"

The scientists said, "We have solved all the mysteries of the universe.  We have explored the heights and depths of earth; we have eradicated plagues and diseases; we have traveled in space; we can calculate the existence of distant planets that cannot be seen by their influence on magnetic waves; we have broken the human genetic code and can create identical clones of living beings. We have even found the way to create life from inanimate objects, just as it says you did in the Bible by making man from dust."

Amused, God asking for a demonstration.  One of the scientists stooped down and started to scoop up a handful of soil.  God stopped him and said, "No, no, no.  Go get your own dirt."
The "sky daddy", as you refer to him, created the Universe.  Elon built a car.

No comparison.

Darren - you're not a dumb guy; you write well (mostly) and I think you really believe what you say. But what do you think are the 'egotistical' ideas of climate change?

I will list some facts below. Tell me where you start to disbelieve.

(a) Gaseous carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere absorbs infrared (IR) radiation.
(b) The concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere has risen from around 250 ppm in the mid C19 to over 400 ppm now. Most of that increase is from burning fossil fuels.
(c) Heat released from the earth is in IR form. Incoming UV hits something - a brick, a desert, the sea, a person - and heats that something up. That something gets rid of the heat by (among other things) emitting it as IR.
(d) Slowing the release of IR heat is just the same as when you pull another blanket on. CO2 blanket insulation has been around the same for the last million years or so and has not been this high since around 15 million years ago.
(e) If we pull another blanket on, we'll overheat.

I've been using various types of instrument to measure CO2 for the last fifty years or so. Infra-red (specifically non-dispersive IR) is the best way to go about it. Trust me, please: this is not a Chinese hoax.

Here it comes! Look a dat! Look a dat!

"Washington (CNN)

The Democratic-led House of Representatives on Monday told the Supreme Court that the House needs secret Mueller grand jury materials to determine if there is new evidence of impeachable offenses involving President Donald Trump.
The House Judiciary Committee has been attempting obtain the documents prosecutors collected from witnesses about Trump in a back-and-forth legal fight that's now reached the Supreme Court."

Being so close to the November election I'm not a big fan of this move. The Big Grifter has already been impeached, and will go down in history as impeached. No "take backs." Another count, or fifty, the Senate won't do a thing about it.

On November 3rd I am going to do my own impeachment, and removal, of our Porn Star president at the polls.

God Bless America!

Ray--presidential oversight is the only legal reason Congress can recite to get access to these documents and, hopefully, make them public. I seriously doubt impeachment is on the agenda, or will be unless he is reelected.

It's more fodder for the media on the way to the election. If the prosecutors never found anything that a grand jury could use to indict, it's theater. It's an attempt on the House's part to do a RONCO.

But wait! THERE HAS TO BE MORE!

Oh God please, let there be more (mumbles some congress critters that phony baloneyed the impeachment).

Oh, God, the RED FLAGS just keep getting more frequent as we head toward November.

I quite agree. But on the other hand, this just might be part of a contingency plan, just in case it's needed after 1/21/21. (And this would, in fact, be *NEW* evidence, since it's something the House Judiciary Committee did not get to see prior to the previous impeachment.)

I'm not sure why they're wasting time on that. The criminal investigations are directed at federal employees not those who were elected. Obama and Biden are not persons of interest.
