sourceDoctor says Biden fractured foot while playing with his dog
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — President-elect Joe Biden fractured his foot while playing with one of his dogs, but doctors found “no obvious fracture” while examining him Sunday, according to his doctor.
Biden suffered the injury on Saturday and visited an orthopedist at Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Newark, Delaware, for an examination Sunday afternoon, his office said. A subsequent CT scan “confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot," according to a statement from his doctor, Kevin O’Connor.
“It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks,” O'Conner added.
Reporters covering the president-elect were not afforded the opportunity to see Biden enter the doctor's office, despite multiple requests. Leaving the doctor's office to head to an imaging center for his CT scan, Biden was visibly limping, though he walked without a crutch or other aid.
Biden was under examination more than two hours after arriving at the office Sunday afternoon.
Biden sustained the injury playing with Major, one of the Bidens’ two dogs. They adopted Major in 2018, and acquired their first dog, Champ, after the 2008 election. The Bidens have said they’ll be bringing their dogs to the White House and also plan to get a cat.
At 78, Biden will be the oldest president when he's inaugurated in January, but he frequently dismissed questions about his age on the campaign trail. He released a doctor's report in December that disclosed he takes a statin to keep his cholesterol at healthy levels, but his doctor described him as “healthy, vigorous” and “fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

I broke my foot walking to the laundry room - shit happens. Those boots are wonderful, he’ll be healing and back in a regular shoe by inauguration.

I got a hairline fracture in my foot while playing volleyball years ago. I wore a cast (boot?) that allowed me to walk but I needed crutches because it hurt and I didn't take pain medication. The cast was on for about a month if I recall correctly. The doctor said I couldn't drive but I did anyway. I'm sure it wouldn't have affected my ability to run a country.

He's 78, it's to be expected.

Plenty of people make it to a grave never having fractured anything, including throughout their elder years.

Re: Breaking News!
From personal experience, don't break a bone while a Senior Citizen. It takes you longer to heal than it would a kid, and you never come back all the way. A physical tech told me I'd only come back 80% of the way after breaking a femur, the big bone in one's upper leg. I felt 10 years older the day after the incident. Hang in there, Joe. I already advised him to stay off a bike, which has shown up in press photos. I got my broken leg in a bike crash. Is there any way to get ByeDon on a bike? He likes to compete with Biden.

Guess he won't be kicking ass anytime soon.

I have had remarkable luck with my recovery. I fully anticipated pain in the foot for the rest of my life. It is down to a minute of pain, and not very often.

Strange name for a dog though . . .
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I named my dog "Shark". Didn't think there was anything wrong with that.
Until the weekend he ran away from me at the beach and I tried to call him back...

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
