My bucket list includes a visit to the Isle Royale national park, where alot of the best science on wolves has been done. Also just because it is the least visited National Park in the contiguous 48 states, easier to get to from Canada than the USofA.

As the resident dude from Wisconsin on this board, it's worth the trip.   Couple of other good things to see on Lake Superior – both in Canada as well as northern Wisconsin as well.

I'd recommend coming in the summer. Just don't forget your mosquito repellant..

I've been to the UP of Michigan in summertime too - I'd recommend bringing a harness, reins and saddle and you can save yourself the price of a rental car by getting around by mosquito.

If you’re into diving you can Fine the wreck of the SS Kamloops off the coast and get followed around the engine room by a corpse.

I checked and saw the wreck was at 200+ feet; given the depth and the cold, you'll need some special training BP, but you could start preparing now. I'm Advanced Open Water (NAUI) certified and am not supposed to go below 100 feet; at that depth you'll need a dry suit and helium oxygen mixed gas, but seeding stuff that well preserved could be fun (cold fresh water tends to preserve organic matter)--i've read accounts of being able to read books and charts after years.
