Manafort will not be prosecuted in NY

Much as I want to see Manafort in jail along with Bannon (for whom there is still a chance) and their orange buddy, this was probably the right decision.

Politically-connected rich white man sent home after criminal conviction, escapes all further prosecution. Quelle surprise.

Sue, were you surprised about the outcome? I don't know about a lot about federal vs state charges, but it seems to me that a good argument could be made for double jeopardy since he was tried and convicted. I don't know if there are other NY charges that could be brought against him that would not have this problem; I also read that their are other federal charges not covered by that pardon which could be brought, so we can only hope. And NY should move on to charging Bannon and getting all of the facts out in the open.

Not surprised in the least by this ruling. Also not surprised that people see the criminal "justice" system in this country as a mean joke at the exepense of poor and minority communities.
