Walter Mondale has died

Post by ex-khobar Andy »

He always seemed like a decent guy. I did not know (or, more likely, had forgotten) that daughter Eleanor, once said to be a frequent visitor to Bill Clinton's little room adjacent to the Oval Office, had died of cancer several years ago.

I'll never forget the debate with Reagan in 1984 when he said: "We're going to have to raise taxes but he won't tell you and I just did." Back then we (and he) could not envisage a Republican President accepting such a huge increase in the federal deficit. Those were innocent times.

I recall "Tits and Fritz".

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

The other one was "Wally and the Beaver."

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
