It's difficult to understand Boris sometimes

From the Guardian:
Jesse Norman, a Treasury minister, was doing the morning interview round on behalf of the government earlier and in his appearances he dismissed the revelation that Boris Johnson had described [Secretary of State for Health and Social Care] Matt Hancock as “totally fucking hopeless” in a text last year. Norman told the Today programme:

"The prime minister obviously, as anybody would detect, is a massive supporter of the health secretary, he’s coming firmly behind him. There can be no question of loss of confidence.”

Norman also argued that the message, revealed by Dominic Cummings, Johnson’s former chief adviser, had been sent “in the middle of the biggest economic and public health catastrophe for a century” and he said it was just “a tiny snapshot of one side of the story without any context”, implying it did not represent Johnson’s considered view of Hancock.
Well I'd agree that it's difficult to get a 'considered view' about anything from BoJo. But “totally fucking hopeless” does not leave a lot of wiggle room.

On rereading and checking this before posting I noticed this gem: " . . . he’s coming firmly behind him." Is there something else we should be told? Inquiring minds want to know.

Boris hasn't got anyone pregnant for ...months...., I think we now know why....

And now Matt Hardcock has been photographed ignoring social distancing rules (that's what they call it now: back in the day we called it 'snogging' ) with his comely aide, Gina Coladangelo.

Boris has apparently forgiven him. Well he would, wouldn't he. BoJo has a bit of history with this sort of thing (taxpayer-assisted legovers) himself.

For those of you who have not been keeping up with this story . . .

On Friday Boris said that the matter was closed. Which seems to be a polite-ish way of saying: "I'm OK with it, and so too should you be." Given Boris's track record with this sort of thing, predictable.

On Saturday normal people started to make their feelings known. Twitter - of which I had a less than charitable opinion when it started - erupted and the most poignant image, IMO, was this one:

Now I'm no kind of royalist, but the reason HM was all by herself when they buried her husband of 73 years was that she was obeying the social distancing rules put out by Mr Hardcock.

Later that day Hardcock resigned as we all knew he would.

Today, Boris takes credit for the resignation. Really? You told us the matter was closed only two days ago.

Per the Guardian:
Asked whether it undermined the message about being “all in it together”, Johnson said: “That’s right, and that’s why when I saw the story on Friday we had a new secretary of state for health in on Saturday.”
BloJo is a fucking liar. But we knew that and we cannot say that he has not been consistent in that regard.
