Some news is politically incorrect and does not discover coverage.
Dozens of Loudoun County students stage walkout over sexual assault by boy in girls' bathroom | Fox News
A judge found a boy guilty on Monday of sexually assaulting a girl in the girls' bathroom last spring at Stone Bridge High School. The boy was reportedly wearing a skirt during the incident.

Several little details. 1 The story was NOT denied coverage. You even provide a link to Fox news. Other information was available but Fox did not include it, such as:
2. The person found guilty never denied it and accepted criminal liability.. The incident happened BEFORE the school system announced rules about trans and bathroom use.
3. The victim's statement revealed the crime occurred AFTER they had consensual sex in that place twice before in similar costume and that the assaulter was present this time at her invitation and she said no after he arrived in the room. Of course the victim was too young to give legal consent.
In the male culture where I grew up this age of consent was extended to both parties. When the male was over 21 and the female under 21, she was referred to as 'jail bait". The legal circumstances when both are under age, or the ages are reversed for each sex, the informal, uninformed culture of my peers was vague. The important thing was 'don't get caught.'

Just curious about this bit, because I don’t know of any US jurisdiction where the age of consent for sexual relations was ever 21. Are you perhaps confusing it with the legal drinking age of the last few decades?

Also lib, this was reported in major media such as the NY Times, the Washington Post, the UK Independent, NBC, CBN (hi cousins!), as well as LoudonNow, Huffpost and doubtless hundreds of other outlets.
They both seem desperately unpleasant actors but if a girl says "No" it means "no", regardless of what has gone before and no matter what weird games they've played.

I agree BSG; here is a list (from 2016, but I think they're sill pretty much the same:

There are some exceptions where to actors are fairly close in age to each other, but this lowers the age of consent, not raise it.
Even the age for marriage without parental consent is 18 or lower in states (except maybe Nebraska, where it is 19, but this may have changed to 18).

I was beyond disgusted to learn recently that the age of consent to marriage in Massachusetts with parental blessing (ha!!) is 12. TWELVE.

Usually, those younger marriages also require court approval; is this also required in Massachusetts or is parental consent dispositive?

Apparently, there is no set minimum age of consent with parental approval, but a definitive requirement for judicial review.

I suspect (hope!) the issue doesn’t come up very frequently, but I know there is currently a citizen initiated movement to set a minimum age in statute.

I was writing of Jackson County Missouri in the early 50's Again, I and my peers had no legal experience--not even from tv crime shows. Perhaps I could have paid more attention to the radio show "Your FBI in Peace and War" which always ended with a description of one from the FBI most wanted list. It always ended with 'this person should be considered armed and dangerous' read by a voice that sounded alot like Walter Winchell.
We knew we could not buy beer until we were 21, and there was general consensus that the age of 21 was a magic line for many things. Many years later, (1972) when I came to Delaware as a minister I was appalled to learn that here a female, with permission of parents, could marry at age 12. No age given for the male. That age has since been cranked up a bit.

As I recall in the 60s/70s, femaies could generally marry with/without consent of the parents at younger ages than males (because, after all, males as the head of the household had to be more mature and capable of supporting a family). In the 70s, both eventually dropped to 18. When I married (in 76) we just had to go in and give a birth date--no proof required, just someone to attest to it (I brought my roomate).
As I said above, I think the younger than 18 marriages, even with consent, require a judge to sign off on it that it is in the interest of the minor. And in some cses a judicial order could obviate the need for parental consent altogether.

Regarding the thread topic, I googled "teen sexual assault loudon county" and received "(about) 2,760,000 results". I checked about 20 of the links to make sure they were about the same news item and they were. I think it's safe to say that the "politically incorrect" news pointed out in liberty's post has been well covered by the media.
I suspect that the state of Louisiana's government has internet, TV and radio news filters so as not to agitate their overwhelmingly large number of patriotic residents.
