Suckered in by Trumpanzee hucksters.

And so of course Congress will fall to them in 2022, and the presidency in 2024.

And then they will hold them forever, because they will rig the system so completely that it will be impossible for them to lose ever again.

Enjoy your fascist dictatorship, because it's coming.

Is Trumpler going to be our next elected fascist dictator?

Salon agrees with you, Scooter. .
Dumbass nation: Our biggest national security problem is America's "vast and militant ignorance"

I started saving like a madwoman at the beginning of this year - if I can keep up my current pace, I’ll have enough saved up to emigrate in 2024.

And it's not just Americans. Exhibit A: Brexit.

But I'd bet Russell was sure (with or without his cock) of it.

Didn't you say that after Trump won in 2016?

I think I said I wished I could and really wanted to, yes. I couldn’t then, but told myself I would if he got re-elected but the pandemic made it impossible for me to earn enough to make it an option, so I was lucky Biden won FAIR AND SQUARE IN THE SAFEST MOST SECURE ELECTION IN AMERICAN HISTORY, FYI.

However now I am in a better position and I am saving like mad and making very concrete plans around a couple of options I have in mind for 2025 if the Orange Agent of Fascism returns to the WH. If that happens then I don’t think there will be any fair opportunity to preserve our democracy and I don’t want to watch up close as it is collapsing.

I want to live somewhere that accessing American television media is very challenging. I’m considering practicing law again in Micronesia, or teaching in Croatia or Ecuador, among other ideas. It has also been a lifelong dream to liveaboard a small sailboat and so I am also considering that possibility, assuming the market for used sailboats remains geared toward buyers over the next couple of years.

This is entirely dependent on my health not worsening and certain recent improvements continuing on trend for the next few years.

We had so many here in the UK who said they would leave the UK if we voted for Brexit, few have.

I've considered New Zealand, but I don't think I could get past the language barrier.

I would love to go to New Zealand, but it’s the escape of the wealthy, not the working folk. Full of millionaire and billionaire bunkers, I understand. I suppose I could go on a travel visa and overstay - but I want to emigrate with my border collie, so I really need to go legit.

I really think I’m leaning toward Micronesia. I would like to live a few years on an island that is about to disappear forever.

Funny that, as the two friends of mine who have emigrated to NZ with their partner are a teacher (and care worker wife,) and an ambulance paramedic (both.) Neither couple are wealthy, and all are working folk.

Me and Hen considered retiring to NZ, as she can get permanent residency via her late father who was a Kiwi.

Wealth is a relative thing I suppose. New Zealand requires a means test and without a position secured prior to arrival, the means requirement is beyond this working person’s wealth. My age is also a major consideration as I would not qualify for the various skilled worker visas available because of age limits. Additionally the cost of living in New Zealand is quite high and housing is in short supply. So all of the research I’ve done tells me that while New Zealand may be attractive to persons with some wealth to play with, or to younger working persons, it’s out of my reach barring a lottery win.
