First superficial observation: Has Biden spent some heavy duty time with a speech coach? I don't ever remember a President speaking so fast. The words are tumbling out with few of his infamous tongue/brain entanglements. But still the usual pause for applause at every third sentence. Must have been lots of rehearsals.

He did a little better but still plenty of tongue twisted moments - typical for a stutterer. Of course the idiots on the right will claim he’s on the edge of full dementia but they are bully lovers who have not one ounce of compassion for or understanding of a speech impediment.
I thought the speech was very good overall, and was glad to see so many moments that the right side of the room was on its feet, too. It almost feels like the door is open for a return to normalcy . . . certainly it was nice to hear a SOTU that was well within the sphere of normalcy after the freakshow of the former guy.

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Good Grief Gob ! ? You watched it? Isn't it a 5 hour difference between you and Wash DC? That would have made it 2am your time!
But I can't disagree with your judgement.

Joe, that is what a decent person does. If you don't disrespect an American president, you are not a good American. Remember the Dixie chicks? And this stealing son of a bitch deserves to be disrespected.
Some believe that the Ukraine invasion will unite Americans, but the answer is no; we can all feel sorry for Ukraine and still hate each other. Be careful of what demons you invite into your home some you can't
get rid of easily, if at all.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

In that case, I must be a great American on a level not seen since John Adams, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, or General Washington himself. I spent four years having absolutely no respect for D. J. (Dishonest John) Trump or any of the members of his so-called administration.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
