For those who haven't been following the Summer Boismier story here in Norman, OK, she was an English teacher at Norman High that was forced to resign for sharing a QR code for students to access digital books for free from the Brooklyn Public Library.

Oklahoma's Secretary of Education has decided that causing her to lose her job isn't enough, and he's now pushing to have her teaching license revoked to keep her from any future employment in her field of study.

Summer didn't give any specific books to students or assign any controversial books. She merely provided access, and, for that, she is about to be censured by the state. It's effectively a digital book burning and a witch hunt to punish any who step outside of the state's cultural hegemony.
