At least we found out where all the hope went.

B. H. O'Bama is Irish, everyone knows that.
Records unearthed in Ireland reveal that Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama can trace his ancestry back to a shoemaker in a small Irish village, according to a report in the Chicago Sun-Times.
Obama's campaign had no comment Thursday about the report, but Chicago Alderman Ed Burke told the newspaper he wasn't surprised.
"I could tell from the very first time I saw him — he's got such a way with words," Burke said.
A Church of Ireland rector scoured files from the church dating to the late 1700s, and confirmed that Obama descended from Moneygall, County Offaly, the newspaper reported. The village today holds little more than a couple of pubs, shops and a Roman Catholic church.
Canon Stephen Neill, from a nearby town, began delving into Obama's past after a U.S. genealogist told him about the possible connection, the newspaper reported.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

As soon as he won the election the Irish would have started the bid process to choose his ancestral home.Gob wrote:B. H. O'Bama is Irish, everyone knows that.

Mind you, there are a few black Irish-Americans out there...
Eddie Murphy and O'Jay are two that spring to mind.

What is depressing? Do you still have a thing for Kaddafi. The age of Aquarius has passed. More to the point it never was except in the minds of some on the left.Sue U wrote:At least we found out where all the hope went.

I am not try to be offensive, just asking.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
Re: Obama speaks
One need not like Khadaffhi to question and/or criticize this latest move. Indeed, Obama said we are not their to effectuate regime change.
Re: Obama speaks
Man, Obama looked and sounded bitter ...and that podium was too high. I think he was trying to pound it down to size.
Re: Obama speaks
I think Obama has a big ego and becomes angry if anyone dares to question his judgment. Indeed, I think most politicians do.
Re: Obama speaks
Sure, Obama has a big ego. And as you say, most politicians do. And the higher up the politicians get, the bigger the egos become.
How could they not? After all, "I'm the person who should run the institution that governs your lives" is not a claim likely to fall from the lips of someone with low-self-esteem issues.
But much of it is just theatrical bluster. If you're not a good actor, you won't make a good high-level politician. A job that requires constantly taking center stage is not likely to attract many wallflowers.
In the end, the most useful skill a high-level politician can possess is prestidigitation. Get people to pay attention to what you're doing with your left hand, and they won't notice what you're doing with your right hand.
We're not seeking regime change in Libya. We weren't going to do nation-building in Iraq. Hell, we were never even going to colonize the Philippines.
Just keeping watching the shiny ball ....

Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.
Re: Obama speaks
While most have big egos, I think some pay more attention to consensus building while others prefer to govern by decree. In the recent past, Jimmy Carter is an example of the former (and Ford and Reagan to a certain degree), Obama of the latter. IMHO, a president should always try to be a consensus builder, but few have the patience or inclination to do it.
Re: Obama speaks
Consensus? LOL
