Brand new Florida representative Cory Mills (guess the party - you get one shot!) twitted a 'joke' about Paul Pelosi after McCarthy's elevation to the speakership:
“Finally, one less gavel in the Pelosi house for Paul to fight with in his underwear."
McCarthy wants to be leader of this group of (Hillary put it best) deplorables. So act like a leader.
Apparently Mills has 'deleted' the tweet, whatever that means. Once something's on line it lives forever, so good luck with that. Not being part of the twitterverse - is deletion the same as an apology? I.e., sorry should not have done that.
