I just hope that the Democrats and voting rights folks are organizing like mad to prepare for what is coming. Biden is not lighting a fire under anybody so it has to be voter turnout on the issues and as a resounding referendum on the MAGA poison Trump is selling.

I’m starting to feel anxious and seriously considering donating my TV and running over my smartphone so I can limit my news to NPR. I cannot endure another term of the orange menace.

My wife got an email from the Trump 2024 campaign, looks like she's helping in the primary.

If he's her choice, more power to her. Our system works better when people participate. I'd much rather no one supported Trump, but such are the ways of democracy.

She's been a strong supporter of Trump since early 2016.

Some follow up questions, because I genuinely want to know:

Why is this an issue for her?

What policies, procedures or programs would she want to address the issue?

Trump implemented no immigration policy through legislation, even though he entered office with a GOP-controlled House and Senate. What would be different if he were back in office?

What part of the the Biden administration's immigration policy does she oppose?

Her preferred policy would be having illegals rounded up and shot after 90 days notice.

"Death penalty for any and all infractions" is more *your* thing, no?

I was hoping for a relatively serious answer to a genuine question, but oh well.

Absolutely one hundred percent dead serious.

I support capital punishment only for corrupt public officials and bad cops.

Well, that's not exactly true; I didn't even have to look very hard:

No I think it's the face of mental illness. He is apparently a 'special needs' student which is a very broad spectrum. And without knowing any more than is in the DM piece, he is possibly not 'evil' per se.
Then he needs to be put down like a rabid dog.

He was escorted off stage by security.

If the point was to stop his stunt, why would it make any difference if the removal was "forcible" or if the security was "armed"?
No, I mean he should have been forcibly DRAGGED off the stage, physically removed from the convention, and shot dead if he resisted.

Not as effective as cannister shot from a Challenger tank's 120mm main gun.

Police said they issued a dispersal order and used smoke and tear gas after some protesters pelted them with bottles, rocks, burning flares and other objects.
The response to that should consist of full-auto gunfire, shotguns, flamethrowers, and tanks firing cannister shot.

Some sharpshooter needs to put a 6mm boat-tailed hollow point through the guts of fred phelps from a bit more than half a mile away. No chance in hell of catching him...he'll be breaking down his rifle as phelps falls to the ground screaming, he'll have the rifle in the case before anyone hears the shot, and have the case in the trunk & be driving away before anyone has any idea what has happened.

Let's do this one to Trump after his first criminal conviction - will save a lot of taxpayer funds from cancelling the other trials, and just imagine the savings to the targets of his massive ongoing grift.

After reading through Sue's brief rundown of Jarl's posts over the years and noting how so many of his solutions involve the use of firearms in some form for either the apprehension of lawbreakers (as he perceives them) or the execution of same — and I definitely get the feeling that if the execution occurs as part of apprehension, he's perfectly OK with that — it make me wonder if he has a significant investment in one or more of the companies that make the ammunition for these weapons.

And how corrupt is that . . . or to be clear, what evidences of this corruption can you cite?

Yeah. I know.

That's a name. Apparently an Architectural company. You make a blanket assertion that "the police and courts" are corrupt.

Cite your evidence please. Tossing one (presumed) miscarriage of justice onto the page isn't evidence, not even an argument
