Ted Cruz Endorses Trump

I know everyone here has a short attention span but if you can watch at least 4 1/2 minutes of it, you might find it interesting...
Why? ? ? Does anybody change their vote because of such an endorsement? Does it mean anything beyond a ritual of acknowledgment to the Great Leader? I think it is a hold-over from the days when a name for the top of the ticket was actually selected at a national party convention. The first party convention I can remember was back in the days right after WWII. Actually both parties wanted Ike and the dems were left to select a sacrificial lamb. Now it is just a big meet and greet for the party loyalists who have written the checks or bundled big contributions to the campaign. And a marketing opportunity to the makers of silly hats.
