President Jimmy Carter is 100 years old today. This after being diagnosed with a form of brain cancer nine years ago. He is our only president ever attacked over water by a rabbit. I think he is also our most notable and successful former president. He worked diligently around the world to support free and fair elections He worked around the world with Habitat For Humanity. I judge that he proved to be a good man. Hard for me to say that about a politician.

I hope to see more about how he has survived so long with brain cancer. That is a topic of more than average interest to those of us in Delaware. Joe Biden's oldest son, Beau, died of Glioblastoma multiform, which wikipedia calls the most aggressive type of brain cancer. Many of us here in Delaware regard Beau was an exemplar of what a good politician should be, even better than his father.
