Current Law: Under current law, there is a 10 percent excise tax on amounts paid for indoor tanning services. Indoor tanning services include any services employing any electronic product
designed to incorporate one or more ultraviolet lamps, intended for irradiation of an individual by ultraviolet radiation (wavelengths between 200 and 400 nanometers) to induce skin tanning.
Provision: This provision repeals the excise tax on indoor tanning services effective on the date of enactment.
