Trump is living proof that even a stupid person can fool some of the people all of the time.

And enough of the people enough of the time.
I think there is a conspiracy of people on the spectrum (or maybe on the rainbow. probably near ultra violet) to use blood from the autistic to make thermometers since you cannot get them at the hardware store anymore with mercury.
Was that an explanation or a demonstration of autism?
snailgate. Sorry folks the fuse on my burning petard is getting very short.

Aside from throwing away years of progress on hepatitis-B prevention by moving away from vaccinating newborns, there is a definite ick factor to the way he chose to say this:

How can you be so stunningly stupid about basic biology that you can't grasp how a newborn gets exposed to its mother's STDs during the birthing process?????????????????????????????????????????
I was going to make a comment about the 12 year old reference, but the truth is that is the age at which kids are recommended to get HPV vaccine because they have a stronger immune response to the vaccine at that age and it allows for the full vaccination protocol before they become sexually active later in their early-mid teens - sexual activity including kissing and oral sex, both avenues by which HPV can be transmitted. Clearly Don the Con and Kennedy's brain worm are mixing up bits of science facts with their total ignorance and coming up with this ridiculous recommendation.
Obviously everyone who posts here (maybe not our southern friend) knows that waiting until a child is 12 before giving them the Hep B vaccine is terrible, because by then they can have well established liver disease that creates lifelong health issues and puts them at very high risk of liver cancer. Additionally, young children can be exposed to Hep B through exposure to blood through non-sexual contact - like Dr. Su Wang of the Hep B Foundation, who contracted it in childhood from a family member and now lives with chronic Hep B.
I honestly need to find some kind of means by which to channel the absolute RAGE I feel toward these puke useless narcissistic men who are destroying decades of public health advances with their outsized ignorance and arrogance.

It's not just men; there are a lot of women falling right in line with them. Idiocy is not limited to one gender.
FWIW, i see no problem with having an open discussion on what vaccines are recommended at any age, but ignorant rhetoric makes things much worse.

I was referring to Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr., who are both clearly raging malignant narcissists.

Of the 1.25 million with chronic HBV in the U.S., 30-40% acquired it in childhood. Since vaccination at birth began, there have been massive declines in HBV infection in those cohorts. We are talking about undoing decades of progress if these random musings are translated into policy.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if Trump had been talking about Aspirin and tried to pronounce acetylsalicylic acid ?
It probably would have caused him to have another stroke.

I took the trouble to read the paper by Prada et al which Trump and Kennedy used as their source. Had they actually read it, they would have seen this as the first sentence in the 'Conclusions' section.
Our analysis demonstrated evidence consistent with an association between exposure to acetaminophen during pregnancy and offspring with NDDs, including ASD and ADHD, though observational limitations preclude definitive causation.
My bold and underlining. Correlation without causation. Every first year student in statistics learns this. I would like Prada et al to tell the rest of the world that Trump is, as usual, talking crap. And, BTW, he tells us that Cubans cannot afford Tylenol, which is why they have no autism. Well they use plenty of paracetamol, which is what the rest of the world calls Tylenol. The man is a dangerous fucking moron.

Inquiring pregnant females want to know: The flu and covid season are approaching again. After taking my bleach enema and dog worming pills, I suspect there will be some pain. Is it ok to take aspirin?
Re: Donald Trump explains autism for you
Clearly the inescapable conclusion is that sex causes autism.

But Tylenol is responsible for the female not having a headache.
Re: Donald Trump explains autism for you
That depends on the guy, Joe.

Re: Donald Trump explains autism for you
It occurred to me after I wrote the above that someone might point out that a woman's sex-preventing headache couldn't be prevented by something like Tylenol. Fentanyl probably wouldn't even work.
And don't ask me how I know that....

Re: Donald Trump explains autism for you
Well I haven't caught the autism yet although frankly I didn't even know I had been trying for the last 50 years.
I'm gonna start taking Tylenol to see if it gives my kids autism.
GAH!
Re: Donald Trump explains autism for you
You can speed it up with Extra Strength Tylenol; and make sure you use the name brand--you wouldn't want to have to learn how to say acetaminophen. And remember Trump is always right--like Brigham Young, the hat told him so.
