According to an article from the BBC,

Trump shared photos of the new bathroom on social media, saying it had been "renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era".   He claimed the new black and white marble is "very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!".

I'm sure the gold fixtures are pure Donald, though.

The marble actually looks nicer, but I wouldn’t want it to be too extravagant. I’m a more pragmatic person—who really needs more than one color of clothes, Chestnut brown? After all, a car only takes you from here to there. Why would anyone need more than that? For me, the best house would be a Quonset hut with a simple bath: the most practical choice.

What are you going to do with all the hate when Trump is dead and gone? You know it can’t be much longer, even though I think he will last longer than four years.

What he's done is enough to keep him hated for years, even after his (hopefully) imminent demise.   Herr Schickelgruber has been dead for eighty years, and there is still good cause to hate him even now.

In Germany, Adolf was a common enough name. I don't think there has been a kid named Adolf since about 1946. I think the name Donald will disappear off the books once even his cranially challenged MAGA guys realize what he has done.

Why is it that you don’t feel the same about Stalin, Pol Pot, and Genghis Khan? That’s very interesting, and I think it says quite a bit about the average mentality of the American people—and of the West, for that matter.

I for one put hatred on the back-burner in the expectation that he will soon up and die. But I will detest his memory until I die because of what he will destroy of the United States that I love and the Republican party. This country is nothing more or less than the wholly-owned playpen of oligarchic billionaires aided and abetted by the deviant Trump and his deviant ilk. The damage to America and its people, the disgusting ignorance and dishonesty, the warmongering attack on individuals on racist grounds, the committing of crimes (sexual and financial) will live on and on long after he's dust.

I don't hate Hitler - or Pol Pot or Jo Stalin (though that's difficult, me being an old Trotskyite) though I detest their history and the effect they have had on their own people and/or the world. "Hate" is a waste of time.

Because Der Fuehrer's body count and targeting of specific races, religions, and ethnicities is indisputable — say what you want about the Nazis, they were exceptional record-keepers.   Stalin and Pol Pot — not so much.   And much of what we know about your personal favorite, Genghis 'Rapist of the Steppes' Khan, comes from stories passed down over centuries, which is subject to embellishment, exaggeration, and just plain misunderstanding.   Or didn't you ever play the game "Telephone"?

I suspect they were biased, but I also suspect that the Arab and Persian chroniclers did a pretty good job of documenting the atrocities committed by Genghis Khan and his descendants. If even half of what the chroniclers claim happened is true, the Mongol Empire would rank alongside Hitler and Stalin in terms of the volume of atrocities, historical context notwithstanding.

And that's why you don't see anyone named Genghis nowadays.

And as for Trump's decoration(s); he's going to build a ballroom that will make Graceland look like Versailles. The man raises tacky to a new height; at least I can understand Elvis since he was raised poor, but Trump has no excuse.

I was only commenting on Elvis' taste, leaving the rest for another thread. A poor kid from the Mississippi backwoods might well think that a New Orleans whorehouse is the epitome of class; Trump, who was exposed to the finer things should know better, but he shows the same taste (or lack thereof). And we'll see it in the ballroom that is built.
