Standing up to Trump is not something Pammi Jo would ever consider and she lies for him as easily as she breathes.

Bondi is out because she 1) didn't do enough to invent criminal prosecutions of Trump's enemies; 2) failed to effectively manage the cover-up of the Epstein files, making Trump look bad in House Judiciary Committee hearings in February; and 2a) was scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee in two weeks and they think this will get her out of the appearance (it probably will, since Comer will now claim he can't enforce the subpoena and/or the issues with her management of DOJ are now moot).

Word on the street is she begged him to keep the job. I hope it’s true, she deserves every bit of humiliation coming her way.

For me the most interesting part of this story is the replacement. The new Acting Attny Genl is the guy who got Trump his conviction record of 34 felonies. Is there something about close associating with Trump that brings out basic incompetence even when it has not been particularly conspicuous before?

Todd Blanche is an asshole, but he's not a clown. He was once a real lawyer. But he threw himself into TrumpWorld to become their house criminal defense attorney. But even a good lawyer can only do so much when the facts and the law show that the client actually is a criminal.

Alina Habba, Lindsey Halligan and Ed Martin are incompetent.

It’s my understanding from former classmates who are Florida Bar members and also from various legal commentators on MSNOW that your description also applies to Bondi before she got into bed with Trump. It’s hard to believe because she has been so utterly repugnant as AG, but I have to take the word of her practice peers.

Her story is a perfect manifestation of everything Trump touches dies.

On another note - after what she’s done to the DOJ, if I ever saw her in person I don’t think I could resist punching her in the face repeatedly, so I hope she’s not much inclined to vacation in New England.

Bondi needs reminding that Nixon never went to prison.
