Is the United States an Umpire?

An umpire makes sure everyone plays with equal rules. He can call you out and eject you from the game if you are disruptive to others.
Should the United States name be changed to the American League?
Should our national anthem be changed to 'Take me out to the ball game'?

Personally, I like to think of the United States as "The Designated Hitter"....

That's why changing the name to the American League is more appropriate than changing it to the National League.

I think it's one of those stuffed concoctions.

I thought it was deep dish, Chicago Style (one thing I really miss from living in DC is Armands...God's Own Pizza)
But in looking at that picture more closely, it does look like it might be one of those cheese stuffed thingies...

I'm suspecting an age-related error here. It's as easy as a piece of pie LJ - not a pizza pie!

Bite your tongue LJ, the Colony has been making these pies since 1935. That's *all* they make, and all they need to make. The place is packed night after night after night. After 75 years they finally opened another restaurant (all pies) and the lines go out the door. You have *no* idea what you're missing.

I thought that most liberals already believe the US is an empire.

It appears that liberals & conservatives agree on at least one thing....
Pizza is good.
If we could just come up with a health care pizza, we might be able to accomplish something.

I don’t understand why my conservatives friends are so opposed to a national healthcare system. We already have veteran hospitals and the federal government has owned and operated the postal system since the beginning of the country. I share their concern for the preservation of American freedom, but I don’t see the threat. Everyone would have to pay the addition dedicated income tax, but as I seen it, no one would be forced to use the system. As in Britain people would be free to use private doctors and hospitals.
It would be a lot better for the future of liberty than the current health care law.
All Louisiana would have to do is add the local clinics; we already have the state hospitals.
