Liberals call the US an empire, so what is your definition of an empire?

Are you addressing this to anyone in particular?
I don't think there is much question about what an empire is. The British Empire. The Ottoman Empire. The Roman Empire.
It is a collection of countries ruled remotely by a single, more powerful country.
For anyone who maintains that the U.S. in an "empire," I would only ask, what other countries do we control/rule?

No…..I agree those are correct examples of empires. However, in an empire the purpose of the subjugated states are to serve the interest of the center. In the Roman Empire the tribute and the roads flowed to Rome, so is the US an empire?

What can I say Gob, I try to be honest and logical as I see the world. If you would like to more specific I might be willing to provide more detail.
For example, I don’t know how you see this, but do you agree all government is fascist to certain degree?
