Now if Strop had started a topic with that subject line, I would have just assumed it must be about some obscure cricket game somewhere and ignored it...

Funny you should mention it, but I was just talking to a bunch of liberals and all of them were agreeing that tbe U.S. is an empire.

However, some of them were discussing that the U.S. may also be somewhat of an umpire.

We talked for hours until early morning and before we went our separate ways we agreed to disagree as to whether the U.S. is one or the other.

It was then that I realized that an empire could not exist without an umpire.

But I kept that thought to myself because i was tired and needed sleep.
