Basil Marceaux? Puh-leez, he is SO last week -- and evidently you missed the whole Ernest J. Pagels for Senate campaign in Wisconsin. The GOP has a surplus of wackos this year that make their usual wackos look moderate by comparison. Our current fave (election is Aug. 3!) is Joan Heffington for Governor of Kansas:

Plus, she's got this "organization," the "Association for Honest Attorneys," which lists as its board of directors (I am not making this up) Joan (not an attorney, BTW); a lawyer disbarred for being totally incompetent and also a dick, basically; and God.

Dang, Joan Heffington lost the GOP primary. But she STILL managed to get MORE THAN 50,000 KANSAS REPUBLICANS TO VOTE FOR HER.
