American Death Wish

Senator Marco Rubio and his Gang of 8 are attempting to foist on America an amnesty plan that will legalize somewhere between eleven and twenty million line-jumping illegal aliens who are currently in our midst. They might as well replace the ineffective Border Fence with billboards proclaiming, “Don’t you dare come in! But if you make it, we will support you and your descendants forever!”
In California – “America of the Future” if Democrats have their way - eighty-two percent of households headed by an illegal immigrant are on welfare, as are sixty-one percent of households headed by LEGAL immigrants. And this doesn’t even count SSI. And according to the erroneous but prevailing understanding of the Fourteenth Amendment, all of their fortunate progeny are naturally-born United States Citizens.
For reasons that are too perverse to countenance, Liberals have convinced America that it is mean-spirited to expect that the immigration laws of the United States be enforced, or that we restructure the laws to facilitate the immigration of only those whom we would WANT to immigrate, to the exclusion of those who will perpetually be draining our public resources. And they have convinced a majority of Americans that, since it would be impossible to round up and deport all the millions of illegals in one swell foop, IT MAKES NO SENSE TO TRY TO ENFORCE THE LAW! I wonder if the same principle should be applied to embezzling, tax fraud, or speeding. Since you can’t catch all of the law-breakers today, fuck enforcement!
Rubio’s political calculus is also obscure. It is as though he were expecting in three years to be running for President of La Reconquista. While he might be able to increase his poll numbers among the U.S. “Hispanic” population to something more than the 25% or so that Mitt Romney got, his chances of winning the Republican nomination will be less than zero.
It is no secret why Democrats are keen to see amnesty for our millions of illegals. They see them as the cornerstone of a permanent Democrat electoral majority, and don’t really care about American values, rational immigration policy, or who will pay for their perpetual government subsidies (Mexicans have an even worse illegitimacy rate than our so-called African-Americans). It’s always “someone else” paying the bills.
But why any Republican (or any American) would get on this bandwagon completely escapes me.
