I've got about 100cm of snow here, and a balmy temperature of -21 Celsius, with the wind chill making it feel like -31C. Just another day here. Looks like about the same high for Christmas, and the low on Christmas day should be about -28C, so if there is any kind of wind, it could feel like -40C. I have plenty of rum, eggnog and firewood, so things are OK here.Scooter wrote:We're headed for our fourth non-white Christmas in a row.
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

For those interested in what all that means in real numbers, I provide this translation:I've got about 100cm of snow here, and a balmy temperature of -21 Celsius, with the wind chill making it feel like -31C. Just another day here. Looks like about the same high for Christmas, and the low on Christmas day should be about -28C, so if there is any kind of wind, it could feel like -40C.
So in other words, Beer Sponge is letting us know that he lives in a place that makes Novosibirsk look like a tropical paradise....I've got about 100cm 40 inches of snow here, and a balmy temperature of -21 Celsius -6 degrees, with the wind chill making it feel like -31C -24. Just another day here. Looks like about the same high for Christmas, and the low on Christmas day should be about -28C -18, so if there is any kind of wind, it could feel like-40C -40 [not sure how that happened...].

Corrected in bold. Let me know when the US catches up to the civilized world!Lord Jim wrote:For those interested in what all that means in archaic numbers, I provide this translation:I've got about 100cm of snow here, and a balmy temperature of -21 Celsius, with the wind chill making it feel like -31C. They are actually calling for a chance of snow just North of us for Christmas which means we would get sleet, that ain't good...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

Re: Looks like we're going to get socked again...
I've been sitting out on our terrace watching it come down...(sipping a Bullshot...heated beef broth, cracked black pepper, a splash of Worcestershire and Tabasco, and a shot of vodka..a great drink for a day like today)
Tomorrow its supposed to clear up, (which makes me very happy since I still have some shopping to do and errands to run.) Then Christmas Day looks iffy (40% chance of rain) and then starting Tuesday night, we may be back into the rains again....
