Hey January
Re: Hey January
Far too hot for any of that sort of shenanigans.

Re: Hey January
How crude and inappropriate! Everyone who can read English knows that it refers to the bed he was on. But then again what else should anyone expect coming from a pitiless puppy punting patient preserver?TPFKA@W wrote: By "it" do you mean Hen?
Re: Hey January
Another beautiful day in paradise...
At the moment it's 68...
Having grown up in The East, there's something unseemly about having this kind of weather between Christmas and New Years...(in fact it's pretty unusual for this burg too...would that we could have this kind of weather here in July and August...)
It's nice, but I can't help but thinking that we'd be a lot better off if it were a little colder and pouring down rain...
Still no rain in sight...
It's a little tough to really enjoy this weather when you start thinking about what it's going to do to the water rates this spring and summer if we don't start getting some serious storm systems....
We've basically got two months or so for this to turn around; hopefully it will....

http://www.usatoday.com/story/weather/2 ... s/4192275/Driest year ever in Calif. sparks fire, water fears
California is enduring its driest calendar year on record, with no signs of relief coming anytime soon. In San Francisco, the city is seeing its driest year since records began during the Gold Rush year of 1849.
Although a drought emergency has not yet been officially declared, a lack of rain and snow this winter could bring catastrophic losses to California agriculture, as water allotments are slashed by state agencies.
"Soil moisture is depleted, reservoir storage is down and even if we had average rainfall statewide, we probably wouldn't see average runoff just because soil moisture is so depleted," California Department of Water Resources deputy drought manager Jeanine Jones said last week.
What we need are for a series of storm systems, bringing two or three days of steady rain, (and more importantly, snow pack in the Sierrras) followed by two or three days of time for the runoff and soakage, rinse and repeat, at least half a dozen times between now and the middle of March...
There appears to be no chance of this badly needed weather pattern starting any time soon; at the moment, we're looking at a 0% chance of rain every day through the 7th of January...

Re: Hey January
Welcome to winter in the NY/NJ/Conn/RI area. 40F and rain, then down to 32F and ice storm or slush. Maybe a flurry or two. January's coming so we are due for a week or two of 20-something temps. Then a thaw with 40 to 50F temps then maybe a big snowstorm (on February 2ndJarlaxle wrote:Excuse me, but I seem to have lost 2 months...it's 40 degrees and pouring rain all day here.
