Way cool.
Got some plane from mexico city to JFK been in a holding pattern above I80 for 2 hours already. Leaving an hour late from Mexico city must put you last on hte landing list.

ETA, 7 times around going on 8.

I agree with oldr; that's pretty neat. (I've book marked it, and when Tati gets home I'll make a point of showing it to her; I think she'll get a kick out of it)


Though I have to say it does look a mite "crowded"....

Not something you'd want to show to someone who has a fear of flying who has to take a trip out of SFO... :)

It is a 2- dimensional representation of a 3-dimensional reality. And thus distorts perception. There are volumes of space which are designated for planes flying on defined routes so that they are not really as close as they appear. And if you fly, you can see this phenomenon in practice.
