and isolated lunatics with no support within their greater communities are often able to to create new states, they often have a world wide association of like minded organizations threatening govts on multiple continents, they often threaten world order and world war.
if we fight these kind of isolated loonies, it often makes them stronger, they often stop attacking people who do not fight back.
if you destroy such an organization it often makes that organization and creates a greater membership and more support for said org.
it just common sense....

Re: Surprise of the Year
Really - who were these isolated lunatics who created new states?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I believe that they call themselves IS, but that depends on what IS means

It appears from today's headline that he'd been planning to commit terrorist acts for a number of years, from before he went to Arabia and brought back his firancee, in fact. The FBI finally got to the guy who had purchased the AR-15 rifles for him, and the reason he was asked to buy them was that the guy "didn't feel he would pass a background check". And those rifles had been putchased a couple of years back. He was evidently self-radicalized.dgs49 wrote:The only question remaining is whether this particular attack was directed by a recognized terrorist group or leader, or was simply cooked up by these two Muslims.
The whole "workplace violence" theory is uncorroborated nonsense.
As always, the media is ignoring what I think is one of the most important elements of this episode: They clearly expected to get away with this, and intended to go on with their lives as if nothing had happened, and carry out more attacks in the future. In no way were they "suicide" attackers.
Is this a phenomenon that we will see in the future as well?
