Don't mess with Julie Geue

Post by Gob »

Julie Geue, 48, got so fed up with commuters parking in her driveaway that she hatched a fitting plan to get revenge on one recent offender.

For ten years Julie has been regularly inconvenienced by drivers leaving their cars on her property in Crowborough, East Sussex, where she lives opposite the train station in Farningham Road.

Southern runs a regular service from the station to London Bridge. There is a car park at the station with 127 spaces, and three accessible spaces available.

Commuters can pay a daily rate of £4.40, a weekly rate of £19, a monthly rate of £69 or an annual rate of £646 to park at the station.

Earlier this month Julie had been due to have gravel laid on her drive - but when workmen arrived to do the job they found a car had been left in the way, preventing the work from being carried out.

So, spotting her chance to retaliate, Julie ordered the workmen to block the errant car in with a ton of gravel.

And, to top it off, she stuck a trowel in the gravel with a note attached saying: "Happy digging, at least it's not raining."
"Unfortunately, after over ten years of putting up with lazy, obnoxious and rude, often threatening, people doing this, I no longer care if it’s a genuine mistake or not"

The car was blocked in for two days before the owner was able to move it.

Julie said: "The offender in this case claims to have made a genuine error and got confused about which house he should be parking in front of.

"Unfortunately, after over ten years of putting up with lazy, obnoxious and rude, often threatening, people doing this, I no longer care if it’s a genuine mistake or not."
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

If the parking brakes are operated with cables you can snip the cables and push the car out into the street and report it for blocking traffic.

Worked for me!

In this burg, people call a tow company to have cars towed away just for blocking their driveway...

Sussex has nothing similar?

I would simply slash the side of that burlap thing to dump the contents, kick it until it was flat enough, then push it away with the car and drive over it...might take 5 minutes.

A few days later, dump 5 gallons each of used oil and engine coolant in the spot, then call the police and report illegal dumping. Yes, I AM, in fact, an incredibly nasty SOB when you piss me off.

You know, I believe that you just might be the kind of person who would park in someone's driveway because anywhere else was too far to walk, or there might have been a charge to park.

Now me, I believe in the old saying of "finders keepers", so if I were to find a strange car in my driveway, well ....... :ok

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

jarl--if you did that, I'd go to police headquarters and swear out a warrant (using your license plate number) against you for destroying property delivered to me; as you had no right to park there, you'd have no right to slash the bags. And then I'd instutute a civil suit to get you to pay for the gravel you damaged.

Any oil dumped would be seen as a retaliation and attributed to you--but I'd also set up a camera to record what happened. Indeed, I'd likely have done it before I even had the gravel delivered to record the people who parked there.

Me thinks that Jarl would be EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE in police custody.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I like it. Jack it up and sell the wheels and tires off it. Pop the hood and sell the engine-transaxle.

Wouldn't happen. Would rather be dead, by any means necessary.

It was dumped by a big guy wearing a hoodie, a balaclava, jeans, and boots. Prove it.

Well, aside from the oil nastiness (which is a huge environmental no-no, tsk tsk!)... aside from that, if you cut the bag open and spread the gravel out to drive over it, that's kinda what the plan is anyway. Ain't it?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
