Fascinating!

Post by BoSoxGal »

Stumbled on this and wanted to share; it's just generally fascinating but I also recall someone here claiming Russian/Siberian ancestry (can't recall who) so thought it might be of particular interest:

Werner Herzog narrated and produced a documentary about people living in the Taiga. I believe someone else filmed it. It was calledd "Happy People, a year in the Taiga. Fascinating portrait of amazing people. Avail on Netflix.

Almost mentioned that as a related resource, it's a great film to show the hardships of those settled in the Taiga. Of course this family's existence makes those in the film look relatively luxurious by comparison.

That is very interesting.

The Happy People show is available on Netflix. I have it queued up, but will watch it sometime when Mrs Mc is available.
