How do you determine if a mentally ill person is going to kill someone and then what do you do?

It has occurred to me that those who are remorseful enough to want to commit suicide probably have enough of a moral compass/humanity/whatever you want to call it to be rehabilitated.

/compassion doesn't equate with getting a free pass, or any admiration, or even acceptance< of their bad deeds--to me it means that I ownder what sort of "demons" drives people to commit acts like that. like Guin said, they had families, they were babies and children once, and now they have turned into what they have become.

One aberrant act does not make a person into 100% evil; in fact, when it comes to mental illness, a person often behaves horrifically in one moment or series of moments despite a lifetime of good character.

Yet someone like that some folks would revile and toss away like garbage, but in response to a lifetime of moral degeneracy and manipulation/victimization of innocent people, they pull the lever and vote YES.

Could the reason he have comitted suicide was because the cops were after him? Had they not been tipped off and gone after him, would he have just finished his McNuggets and kept going?
I agree, anyone who did what he did is not "right" in the head.
But still, I have no sympathy.
and this comes from someone who did try suicide and meets people daily who also have tried to "off" themselves. For them I have plenty of sympathy and a helping hand
