And it's true — about expanding the Halloween season, that is. A pop-up Halloween store selling costumes, makeup, props, party decorations, etc. has erected a huge wall tent in the parking lot of our local mall (although they probably could have set up shop in the soon-to-be-closed Sears store's space inside) and has been open for business since late August.
