People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Shortly after I posted above, I was back in front of the tv, listening to POTUS go on and on about this wonderful bill the Senate had worked out with the Sec of Treasury and Sen Majority leader Mitch. It is a wonderfull bill It will give us lots of new rockets and missiles.
Yet, that is just what we need against what he calls this invisible enemy we are at war with, which nobody could have ever foreseen.
Way back when the Bird Flu and hoarding Tamaflu were the hot topics, I spent many hours at corp Hq in Deerfield, Illinois, planing on what we as a manufacturer of medical diagnostic kits would do in case of a pandemic--stuff like ALL transport under military control, both incoming raw materials and outgoing finished product. What if the essential employees would be required to stay on site? How would we get enough sterile gloves and gowns? (Actual packaging was isolated in a fashion that masks were generally not needed.) We certainly were not the only company producing these contingency plans. But POTUS has devine information that nobody ever imagined that anything like today would happen. He is partially right. Few imagined leadership from the White House would be so incompetent.
Meanwhile, After the network cut off the president for local news, I was informed by the local news reader that if this bill the president was discussing passed the Congress, almost everyone would get a check, most for $1200 but it would be probably another four months before we saw those checks.

So, perhaps Mr Trump's plan is to make us all sick, in church, so there will be fewer checks needed. Very clever indeed.Meanwhile, After the network cut off the president for local news, I was informed by the local news reader that if this bill the president was discussing passed the Congress, almost everyone would get a check, most for $1200 but it would be probably another four months before we saw those checks.
Meanwhile we agnostics ain't fallin' for it.

Gas in my area is currently $1.36/gallon for 87 octane/90% ethanol unleaded, so since I was low I filled my tank and drove through town on my way back to my apartment. It looked like a fucking ghost town. No cars along the curbs in the downtown area; no one in or around the bars; and when I stopped at the Dollar Store to refresh some of my supplies (they're out of TP, but I can still get paper towels and boxes of facial tissues) I was the only person in the place besides the two clerks.

Just saying, I can remember when a quarantine meant confining the sick people, not the healthy ones.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Does the Plan B fund qualify for one of those checks? It should. I volunteer @W's $1200.00 check to be forwarded to Gob's PayPal account. It's for the people. It's the right thing to do....
Re: Good news! America may be going back to work sooner.
Where the heck have you been? In any case I will not be getting any check. Sorry Gob.
Re: Good news! America may be going back to work sooner.
I've been lurking about. The fact that you don't qualify is a good thing, right? Oh well. Maybe someone who really needs the money and gets the check will consider donating some or all of it...
Re: Good news! America may be going back to work sooner.
Well why not volunteer your check?
Re: Good news! America may be going back to work sooner.
I'm not sure if I'll qualify. If I do, I will donate every cent that I have left of it after I stock up on an extremely large amount of toilet paper, surgical masks, nitrile gloves, virus destroying liquids, frozen foods and a hand gun & ammo.

Seconded!

You skipped over where I mentioned we would not be getting a check which is grossly unfair since we currently have 4 dependents whose rent we have to pay and whose mouths we have to feed. They will get checks. 3.5 grand total as I understand. I will venture they will spend the money most unwisely. Bet that is true for a whole bunch of people. May just as well make out the checks to the local meth dealers.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
