Too Far?
Too Far?
I just grabbed this off Facebook - a page I follow there.
It’s bad but it’s also factually accurate, so - too far? Not too far?

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

By the way, comments to the page include mostly approval. A few have said they get the sentiment but it goes too far.
I’ve been thinking a lot about comedy lately, and how it operates in the new world of isms and loving kindness.

Re: Too Far?
I have a real issue with it:
Apparently no one consults Strunk & White anymore.
FTFY.I've I'd never seen someone use a wheel chair wheelchairs used to transport a piles of shit until I saw Madison Cawthorn and Greg Abbott.

Re: Too Far?
There are advantages that come with old age. I have no idea who Madison Cawthorn and Greg Abbott are and I see no reason to push a few keys on my computer to find out.

Re: Too Far?
I know Abbott is the Governor of Texas but being relatively uninformed compared to the Plan B association, I assume Cawthorn is just another turd.
Re: Too Far?
Sue, you forgot to delete the "a" before "piles". Messrs Strunk and White would be quite chagrined.

She’s struck it out with a line through - time to update your spectacles!

Re: Too Far?
Sue should have stretched the line through the a like this: (-a ) to make it more obvious. Give Big RR a break....

Re: Too Far?
That's why I like to cancel things like this. Leaves no doubt about it:
⃥I⃥'⃥v⃥e⃥ I'd never seen s⃥o⃥m⃥e⃥o⃥n⃥e⃥ ⃥u⃥s⃥e⃥ ⃥a⃥ ⃥w⃥h⃥e⃥e⃥l⃥ ⃥c⃥h⃥a⃥i⃥r⃥ wheelchairs used to transport ⃥a⃥ piles of shit until I saw Madison Cawthorn and Greg Abbott.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Too Far?
BSG--I took a good look and you are correct; but the line, unfortunately, coincides with the loop of the a in the font I am using. Sorry Sue. I thought this was just an oversight that would prove you are human, but I guess not.

Re: Too Far?
If you've got a Turing Test for me I might pass; alternatively, the Spousal Unit and Spawn would be happy to confirm just how many things I do wrong.
