Thank you for the kind messages. It has meant a lot to all of us in the family to hear them.

You can best remember Mike by fact checking what you read, (re)watching Star Wars, spending time at an independent bookstore, eating a slice of pie or carrot cake, squeezing into a parking space a little smaller than you think your car can fit, and voting for kindness and intelligence in upcoming elections.

Indeed so
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I miss Mike he was my only Internet friend. He was one of the few people on this site I trusted, and he trusted me enough to give me his home address. I was going to take a trip up there to see him, but kept putting it off until later, but sometimes later it's too late.

The last time the site needed money Mike and I both donated $50 each and now that Mike is gone and I've lost a trusted friend and a conduit to Plan B, the site is just out $100. Mike can't donate now, and I don't have any way to send money to the survival fund. He was liberal and I'm not but that didn't prevent us from being friends. When he was alive, I cared about keeping knowledge of my contributions secret, but now I don't give a damn.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
