What did wearing a veil have anything to do with going through security? Photo ID is not checked there, all her belongings would go thru the x-ray, she would go through metal detector and possibly a full body scanner.

What I see is a cop (several cops) abusing their authority by harassing a person for telling a joke they didn't like.
But this is kind of abuse you can expect when you have laws against making offensive remarks.

It's the kind of abuse you can expect when you give rent-a-cops the sort of authority that airport security staff have. The only actual cop involved appears to have diffused the incident and let him go.
