You know what Rube? I try my best not to post anything derogatory about you without provocation. I'm not saying that I manage it always, nobody's perfect.
You on the other hand think nothing of jumping in unprovoked with nasty comments about me. I haven't forgotten your thinly veiled accusations of pedophilia against me...

My point being, don't try to paint yourself as a victim here sunshine... Because you're not!
"thinly veiled " = it said something completely different but you needed a justification for hatred.

I have never said I was a victim. I just point out your own bad behavior and you go nutz trying to self-justify.

Recently, you seem to have had a change of heart about joining in with the 'piling on' thing. Not enough of one to admit it, though.

Yours is the first complication that I've ever heard from anyone in regards to YAG treatment of a secondary cataracts.

The good news is that it is easily correctable.

Glad to hear that you've recovered.

I am very sympathetic to anyone with eye problems because I can't imagine how my life would be without good vision. The ability to see clearly is important to me and keeps me sane... or whatever this state of mind is that I'm comfortable with.

Perhaps it was t so thinly veiled...

Just to jog your memory Rubato, it was a CSB thread about strangers taking photos of little kids on the beach without permission. When I stated that I would not allow it with my son you stated that I had an unhealthy interest in photos of naked children.

Now, would you care to justify that?
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

That's good rube - glad it's holding up. My check-up yesterday showed a refraction of 0.02 right eye and 0.00 left which is far better than the surgeon expected. He showed me that at distance my vision could be improved very slightly with glasses but not sufficiently to warrant purchasing any - unless a problem develops affecting my driving.

Timster - it's interesting that they use a photograph of a hot air balloon over a dead straight highway for the machine test. If it's grafs we're after, maybe they should switch to this:

Hearing the stories about laser surgery is quite reassuring for me.
I'll probably need something like that eventually, and it's a prospect that's always scared me.
So thank, both rubaty and MajGenl. Meade for sharing your experiences. :ok

I have a distant relative who has something wrong with her eyes (I thought it was something like macular degeneration, but not sure) which requires a needle into the eyeball(s?) each month or so. I remember her saying that she dreaded it every month, and it was an awful experience, but the alternative was that she would go blind, so she had to do it.
Until now I thought that this procedure sounded equally as bad as the laser treatment.

So as a result of hearing the stories here, I hope that as my eyes deteriorate it will be something that can be fixed by laser (please not the needle in the eye  )

Alice;

For the bad scary stuff, just live right and hope for the best. Recently they've discovered that Avastin shots into the eye don't help with Macular degeneration, so it's off the table. Avastin has not worked all that well for tumors either. Back to the chemical drawing board.
