Re: More bitchin' about the weather
We picked up another 3 inches of snow overnight, on top of the 2 inches we got Saturday, on top of the what, 60 or 70 feet that has fallen so far this winter and is stacked up in the cul-de-sac in front of my house.
I give up. Winter wins.

When the thaw starts and everything turns to a sea of mud, you'll be thinking how great the snow and frozen ground were.

My greater worry is that when the thaw starts, that mountain of snow in front of my house will end up in my basement as two feet of ice-water.
GAH!
Re: More bitchin' about the weather
That starts tomorrow
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

The 3-6 turned into 1" today.
I'm really running out of places to put the stuff.
And the gutters are frozen up so I have 5foot icicles hanging down. I'm going to see how long they can get, maybe to the ground. Only about 3 more feet to go.

That! I'm lucky enough my house is on a slight rise...it's only maybe 10', but even that is a big help. Even so, I worry a bit.Sue U wrote:My greater worry is that when the thaw starts, that mountain of snow in front of my house will end up in my basement as two feet of ice-water.

Well yippy skippy. Now we have the threat of severe weather Thursday. Not the smoothest segue from one bit of shitty hazardous weather to the next.

Rain is predicted for us. Should make a nice snow stew.
then it will freeze overnight and we can slip slide to work the next day. They are cutting back on salting the roads as they are almost out of salt.
They are also complaining about their plowing budgets being depleted.
The last few years have been very mild to say the least. They should have stashed the extra money away from those years to help pay for this year. But they didn't do that. We expect an extra line item on our property taxes for all the snow plowing. yeeee haaaaa

Squall line headed this way. Still snow on the ground so my recurring nightmare of "snownadoes" may come to be reality.

We had "thundersnows" here a couple of days ago.

We had that last winter, very weird and surreal. The sound of the thunder was muffled by the snow.

Last night we had a duvet on the bed, for the first time this year!

Warmed up dramatically here...50 yesterday (though raw, foggy, and raining), 50+ today & tomorrow.
Hey, I can wash my truck today!

The sun is shining and it is gloriously beautiful outside. Supposed to snow tomorrow.
