Or "bernache du Canada"
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Re: Going to need a good lawyer
I was looking up on the NY State hunting site and they call them "Canada Geese".
Anyway, all I need is a hunting license and sign up for the Harvest Info Program. I have already taken the hunter safety program so I only have to pay for the license.
Bag limit is 3/day and runs from Nov 26-Feb 3. Now I need a place to hunt. I am sure there are some land owners looking to get rid of the geese.

The thing is at no point did I say Meade was wrong. I looked it up when he brought it into the thread and had a big chuckle over it. My only contention was and is that we say Canadian and apparently no one I have spoken to about it knew it was properly called Canada either. I found it amusing and amazing that this is the case. My issue is his arrogant fatheaded tone in the thread. That is it in a nutshell.
Re: Going to need a good lawyer
What one person perceives as an "arrogant fatheaded tone," another will rightly see as lighthearted humor.
Reminds me of an old song by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes...
If you don't know Meade by now
You will never never never know Meade... Whooooa!

Ah, you perceive that as reflecting a reality rather than being a satire of myself? That does explain a few things. I play a part (rather inconsistently, granted) of an arrogant nineteenth century fathead. I'm being rather mean to George there - he wasn't that bad.My issue is his arrogant fatheaded tone in the thread.
It was rather more obvious under the old LtCol.Flashman name, partly because he was English. But I lost the password and never bothered about it.
Didn't really mean to honk anyone off

Re: Going to need a good lawyer
I would imagine that most hunters know the proper name.
they were called Canada geese in my grandfather s Field and Stream mags in the early to mid 70 s.....
they were called Canada geese when I took my hunter safety in the late 70 s or 1980, I can t really remember the exact year, my little card disintegrated long ago....
pretty sure that the Maryland hunting guides and stamps called them Canada geese.
I wasn t in the goose hunting crowd tho ....

Fine. Do some method acting and whack yourself in the balls for me. Arsehole.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Ah, you perceive that as reflecting a reality rather than being a satire of myself?
