I was going to put this in Laffs, but since it fit's so well with all the arctic weather there's been in the Mid-West and the East, I thought I'd put it here...

Yes, I understand that the much needed rain that we and SoCal have been receiving will be arriving out your way Sunday and Monday in the form of additional snow...

I'm very sorry about sending this to you, but you may recall that when we were getting nothing but sunshine and you were getting tons of precipitation, we did ask nicely if you could please send some of it to us...

But no, you guys in the Mid-West and East just couldn't be bothered...

If next winter is like this I swear, husband will be retiring early and we will be heading out of state. I can work as a nurse anywhere so....

-47C with the windchill here this morning, (-53F for those on an archaic system!) I was out last night at the hockey game, was about the same temp according to my outdoor thermometer. Looks like it will be warming up again this week.

In case anyone may be interested, we're expecting more rain through Thursday, so you folks in the midwest and east can expect more precipitation next weekend, in addition to what you're getting today and tomorrow...

Just thought I'd pass that along... 8-)

We just passed 20in of rain for the year in Bonny Doon. A 'normal' year is about 60in and a drought year is about 40in so we're about half-way to a drought.

Still, it's an improvement.

Getting an inch or so tonight...no big deal, but DAMN I'm sick of snow! I want spring!

I need to move to Texas.

8 a.m. today, out the back window:

And out the front:

They're saying anywhere from 6 to 10 inches by the time it's done tonight.

I can't stand it.

And we don't even have a dusting in the NYC area; I guess that's why the courts are closed.

We had freezing rain then a few inches snow. Made for a terrifying commute yesterday. Highs in the 40's this week. :ok

My understanding is that the area from central Virginia up through New Jersey is the region that took it in the shorts this time...

It's freaking cold here again though -- teens and 20s today, and was single digits on Friday. Saturday it got to 34, was sunny, and it felt incredibly warm.

I'm past ready for spring, dammit, and I don't care that my dark Swede could ski 300 days a year. Move to Antarctica then, if that's your pleasure.

Not as bad as it might have been yesterday. We ended up with a little more than 4 inches of snow, not the 6-10 inches the fear-mongers at the weather center were cursing us with. Still a pain in the ass, though. On Facebook yesterday, a friend posted a picture of a voodoo-doll-size snowman impaled with knives, with the caption "Die, Winter, die!"
