Go Giants!
Re: Go Giants!
Amazing how much better thay play with their full lineup, isn't it!

You will ever have to imagine because in actual fact ...Lord Jim wrote:

Tommy Lasorda's teams won the world series in 1981 and 1988.

Re: Go Giants!
Cablevision and FOX finally agreed. I can watch the games again.
Re: Go Giants!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. What a snooze-foest. Wake me up in April, so I can watch real teams play again.

Re: Go Giants!
You mean the "real teams" that had their butts handed to them by these two, or real teams that even didn't make it that far? Those grapes must be pretty sour by now, might as well not even try.
Re: Go Giants!
Not sour grapes at all. I'm glad there is more diversity in the post-season, but the games have still been snooze fests so far and the crowds just so annoying. I'm even preferring, gasp, football to the World Series. Which is sad.

Re: Go Giants!
Well, I watched a couple of the Giants playoff games (prmarily because I was out in San Francisco and they were on where I was eating), but I haven't seen one series game--usually don't regardless of the team. I always prefer football.

I wish to take this opportunity to associate myself entirely with those remarks...You mean the "real teams" that had their butts handed to them by these two, or real teams that even didn't make it that far? Those grapes must be pretty sour by now, might as well not even try.

looks like someone was wrong
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Re: Go Giants!
Actually I think it was 1954 LordJim, (at least that's what the newspaper has on the back cover)
and they weere the NY Giants back then.
Anyway
Congrats to the Giants
And what high school did the Giants get last nights pitcher and catcher from? One looked 17yo the other was maybe 16yo.
Lincecum was on his game though.

Congrats to the Giants and their fans. Winning the Series is a great feeling. Make sure to go to the parade!

I thought that was LordJims post (as he was posting all over the place)

It's Wednesday at 11...Make sure to go to the parade!
Tati has half days all week anyway, ( it's parent-teacher conference week) so I think we'll jump on the BART and check it out.
Should be a good time....

Re: Go Giants!
Well it's a long time in coming--enjoy it.
