I have to say that on my short list of possible suspects behind this, Chechens weren't on it...

I believe what's been done here is unprecedented...

A major American city being put under total lock down...

Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, riots, even 9/11...

Curfews have been imposed, sections of towns have been shut off, airports shut down, authorities asking people not to come in to town, and asking people to stay home...

But an entire major city, and it's surrounding areas being put under "lock down"?

I don't believe that's ever happened before...

That's the Watertown activity I assume -- you should see the live video. Try NECN, New England Cable News. 50 SWAT guys just got out of two big black vehicles.

Now it's being reported that they've taken two people into custody from the house where these guys lived, but it's unclear if one of them is "white cap" or if they're just family members.

The volumes of law enforcement officials across many neighborhoods in the Boston area is incredible and unprecedented. I've never seen anything like it. Many bomb disposal units too.

Okay, well in addition to staying in town, and robbing a 7-11, they also pulled a car jacking last night....

It would make no logical sense for any Chechen nationalist organization to be involved in this...

The dispute between the Chechens and the Russians is one of the few international disputes the United States has actually managed to stay out of...To the extent we've expressed any views at all on this, it's been to condemn Putin and co. for their heavy handed actions....no Chechen nationalist organization would have any motivation whatsoever to want a terrorist attack to be carried out against the US...there's no even minimally rational basis for it...

Let's see...if this had been carried out by members of a group or with associations of a group of people who had a long and documented history of violent attacks against non-combatants for reasons that are not at first glance rational or reasonably related to specific "cause" they advocate, would he association with that group be newsworthy?
